COVID-19 Update 17-03-2020
Dear Mount Royal Friends:
In an effort to follow Public Health guidelines around
"flattening the curve" in the spread of the novel Coronavirus, the
decision was made to keep the church building closed for Sunday services,
meetings and mid-week groups through the end of March. This includes our staff
and most noticeable to many will be that the office is closed during this
period.
Please feel free to leave non - urgent messages
on the church office voicemail (855-5771) or send an email to mtroyalunitedchurch@nb.aibn.com.
These will be checked periodically during the closure.
Thanks to those who have asked how to make donations to the
church while we are closed. Of course Pre-Authorized Remittance is a safe and
consistent way to contribute. Please contact the church office and Tracy will
respond to you. You can also send a cheque to the church at 106 Mount Royal
Blvd, Moncton NB E1E 2V2. It would be greatly appreciated if you would consider
making up missed givings during what may be an extended closure. Thank you for
your consideration.
If you are in isolation or choosing to limit your public
exposure, please do not hesitate to reach out. We know that the church is an
important connection in many people's lives so you are encouraged to keep in
contact with members of your church family by calling or emailing.
We have had a couple of people who have offered to pick up
groceries or medication for members of our church family who are unable to
leave home. Please contact Susan Fowler at 855-7008 if you require
assistance.
Check our Facebook postings and our website for regular
updates and words of encouragement from Rev. Stuart. If you are feeling anxious
or have an urgent pastoral care needs, please contact Rev. Stuart at 506-295-8353.
And don't forget to
remain vigilant. Unfortunately in stressful times like these we are vulnerable
to fraudulent calls and on-line scams.
Wishing you all good health during the period we are apart,
Susan
